Sandworms are hostile mobs that mainly spawn in the desert biome. They camouflage themselves with a skin texture that looks like sand, however is slightly less defined. They change to a dark red once hit or if the player walks too close. They can only be found in sand. They also have teeth to bite through sand.

They are 4 blocks in length, have 20 health and the ability to heal themselves.

Drops

When killed, Sand Worms drop Scrap Meat and Small Hearts, and occassionally Emerald Shards.

Trivia

• When there are no players nearby, it will 'hide' again.
• Sandworms cannot swim, making them easy to kill if you are near a body of water. This is especially helpful if you do not have good weapons.
• Sandworms can spawn in groups
