The Gilded Wooden Shield is one of the shields added by the Asgard Shield mod. It is an upgraded version of the Wooden Shield. It has a durability of 246 and inflicts 1 heart of damage and does 1.5 block of knockback with each hit. When not guarding, the shield absorbs 15% of damage taken. Its weakness is fire, and will burn through the shield rather quickly. Its special perk is arrow catch. When a successful guard is performed, but unlike the wooden shield, it will collect 100% of the arrows shot at you, instead of 0%. Gilded Wooden Shields can block for twice as long as Wooden Shields but will last 1/2 as long.

Bugs

In the current version of Hexxit, the Gilded Wooden Shield is craftable. You have to get Heartwood planks, found only in dungeons. Crafting this shield causes the game to crash.
