Capsule stations are a high tech way of storing structures and animals. Currently, you can only craft the storage capsule station, but if you trade with villagers, you can get big, normal, and small stations. To use them, you right click the capsule station with an empty capsule. It conveniently stores it inside that inventory slot. This can be useful to keep your chocobos from despawning on a server; just put them next to the station then right click it. Then it's stored.
Once placed, the capsule station will have a gray outline around it, the size differs from type of station. Right-click on the station with the empty capsule and it, and everything in its radius, will disappear, and be stored in the capsule. If you right-click on any block with the capsule, it will place the station and everything that was in its radius, including mobs. This can be useful for moving your base, as the contents of chests are saved also.
