Seared Bricks are a construction block from Tinkers' Construct used in the creation of the Smeltery. In addition, they can be used as an attractive building block for any other construction purpose. Black in color, they offer a good alternative to their Stone and Marble equivalents. More importantly, they are highly blast resistant.
First, create grout from equal parts Clay, Sand and Gravel. The first step only is a shapeless crafting recipe, so of course the placement on the table is irrelevant. 1 each of Clay, Sand and Gravel will yield 2 Grout blocks; a stack each of Clay, Sand and Gravel will yield 2 stacks of Grout.
To demonstrate that the placement of the ingredients is irrelevant, this placement or any other will also work:
Second, cook the Grout in a Furnace to produce individual Seared Brick pieces. 1 Grout will yield 1 Seared Brick.
Third, stack the Seared Brick pieces in a 2x2 pattern to create 1 Seared Bricks block. 4 Seared Brick pieces will yield 1 Seared Bricks.
A single stack of Seared Bricks requires 2 stacks each of Clay, Sand and Gravel. Get shoveling!
