Locks are a type of item added by Better Storage. Unlike the keys, the lock only has one variation and can only be crafted once a key has been made. The lock will only match the key used to make it. The lock can then be placed on Reinforced Chests to secure its contents, unless the player has the respective key for it or a key that can bypass the security and access its contents.

Crafting

NOTE: The key is not consumed during crafting.

Enchantments

Locks can be enchanted to protect against key enchantments. Security lowers the effective level of any key enchantments to the point where they have no effect.

• Persistance (I-V) - Makes the attached chest slower to break and more resistant to explosives
• Security (I-V) - Offers protection against key enchantments
• Shock (I-III) - Damages players trying to open, break or unlock the chest without the correct key.
• Trigger (I) - Makes the chest emit a redstone signal when players try to open, break or unlock the chest without the correct key.
